Misser Interview
We interviewed Misser. Misser started as my means of venting- girls, friends with drug problems, my own problems, everyday hate- you name it. I never wrote songs for me to sing, I always wrote music for Transit. This was the first time I stepped outside of that. I recorded that tape with Dan Rose, whom was interning for Jay Mass (Dan actually plays in Daybreaker, whom will be playing our first...

This shortened week is screwing with my brain. Here we are on Thursday, and I don’t even know what day of the week it feels like … but it’s definitely not feeling like Thursday. Over the past few weeks I’ve attended a few graduations — my college roommate is making me feel inferior by getting his MBA, and other friends are graduating and looking at a wonder-job-market...

Full Interview Coming Soon: All Time Low
“A good chunk of this record deals with our signing, and eventual split with Interscope. It was the usual story that we promised ourselves we’d never let happen: Band signs with label, label throws everything into the making of band’s new album, team working the record gets fired or moved to another office, record gets delayed, record loses steam, band leaves label.” - Alex...

Hot Water Music Opens Strong With Exister
Although they weren’t noted in the chart we posted earlier, SoundScan is reporting in its official counts that Hot Water Music sold just over 10,000 copies in first-week sales of Exister, their first record in eight years - good for an opening at the No. 33 position on the charts. Congratulations to the band and to Rise Records. SoundScan’s top 50 can be seen here.

Blast from the Past: Midtown 2011
Re-reading this interview, with Midtown, from 2001 - is hilarious. Gabe: And you know I think people are ready for some music with substance. Right now, all it is, is candy. MTV really has two markets - the teenybopper ear candy, and rap. But the rap to day, I fucking hate it - a lot of it just isn’t real, and just fake.
